Since Zen Nihon Houseki Kyokai opens its offices in Harajuku, Shibuya, in Tokyo 1965, Gemmological Association of All Japan had been an important research laboratory serving the jewelry industry. 

GAAJ has two locations in Taitoku, Tokyo and Ramat-Gan ,Israel before closing their doors due to an incident with the local press.
